Fresia doesn’t paint pictures of the lake. He paints the feeling that the lake instills within him by painting layers of color where each layer is like lace, enabling you to peer through the surface layer and into the painting. His brushstrokes – masterful and authoritative – are often a gentle fury. He brings into being his own experience, fresh as it is eternal, characterized by a liveliness of light, moods that charm, a beauty that whispers in a thousand subtle sensations.
